There is a lot happening at FC Safety right now.

Under the ownership of Jack Roser and Roser Group, we are actively investing in our operations in Franklin, PA.

We are expanding manufacturing capacity, improving production processes, increasing the amount of inventory we keep available, developing new products and looking for additional opportunities to grow the company.

The goal is straightforward: build more product, build it faster, keep more of the products our customers need in stock, and become easier to do business with.

That growth also means continuing to invest in the local workforce that makes it possible.

“This acquisition is another step in our broader plan to continually invest in a well-established business within our community. We’re focused on expanding our manufacturing capabilities, introducing new products, and creating long-term opportunities for our employees and the surrounding Northwestern Pennsylvania region.”

Growing Our Product Offering

PacMule Belts joins FC Safety.

One of the clearest examples of our growth strategy is the acquisition of PacMule Belts, an established line of firefighter ladder and escape belts that became part of FC Safety in September 2026.

PacMule was developed by experienced Illinois firefighters who wanted better equipment for the realities of climbing ladders and working in full turnout gear.

FrenchCreek and PacMule had already worked together for nearly 20 years, making the acquisition a natural fit.

PacMule now has the support of FC Safety’s manufacturing capabilities, customer-service team, sales organization and nationwide distributor network while giving FC Safety a stronger position in the fire-service market.

Franklin’s Fall-Protection Roots

Carl Wible wanted to build something of his own — and build it in Franklin, PA.

FrenchCreek wasn’t started in a place with no connection to fall protection. Franklin, PA already had generations of knowledge and experience in the industry.

The Franklin Connection

That history stretches back to 1945, when Robert Miller founded Miller Equipment in Franklin, PA. Miller grew into one of the best-known names in fall protection and helped develop generations of local manufacturing and product expertise.

Carl Wible and Frank Davison both came out of that fall-protection industry. Carl began working in the field in 1973, gaining nearly two decades of experience before deciding he wanted to take what he had learned and build something of his own.

In 1992, at age 51, Carl started FrenchCreek in Franklin, PA. Frank joined him at the outset, and together they began building another fall-protection manufacturer in the same community where they had developed their industry experience.

Miller would go through major ownership changes over the years and ultimately become part of Honeywell. Carl took a different path. He built his own company here.

That decision meant another fall-protection manufacturer continued operating in Franklin, creating manufacturing work and keeping valuable industry knowledge and skills within the local community.

The early FrenchCreek operation was small. Employees were learning manufacturing processes, setting up industrial sewing equipment and developing products while the business itself was being built around them.

But it kept growing.

By 2004, FrenchCreek was manufacturing more than 1,400 products, and Carl appeared on the cover of Business Magazine beneath a headline that captured the company’s trajectory: “The Sky’s the Limit.”

More than three decades later, the connection between fall protection, manufacturing and Franklin, PA remains part of FC Safety.

Today, we are building on that foundation by expanding manufacturing, adding products, investing in our workforce and creating the next generation of opportunities here.

“We’ve received letters from people thanking us for our equipment, because without it, they may not have survived.”

Sometimes our equipment has appeared in more unexpected places too. People familiar with FrenchCreek products have spotted our gear on television, including a harness visible on Deadliest Catch.

It is a reminder that something sewn, assembled, inspected or tested in Franklin, PA can eventually end up protecting someone thousands of miles away.

Local ownership. Local investment. Long-term growth.

French Creek is more than the namesake of our company. It is part of the community where FrenchCreek has operated for more than 30 years and where FC Safety continues to grow.

Roser Group’s approach is centered on building stronger businesses in this region and giving them the resources to grow for the long term.

The company Carl Wible started here in 1992 is still here — but today we are working to make it significantly larger, faster and more capable.
